One more can

Sunday, July 29, 2007

So I made another covered can today. I had a baby shower to go to for Kelley (her church shower). I made this can and filled it with labor day/hospital stay essentials such as a mini fan, suckers, travel size toiletries, chapstick, etc. I put her baby's name (Will) on the can so that she can also use it for a memory keeper.

She is doing the nursery in trains so I found this paper at my LSS and then used the Very Punny stamp set.

Another covered can

Saturday, July 28, 2007

I made this covered can for Kelley for her baby shower today. It is a mom's pamper kit and included a pedicure gift certificate, some nail polish, foot cream, loofah, clippers, nail files, and body wash. I also made this card to go with it using the Bubble Queen set and even put eyelets on the stamped image so I got to use my crop-a-dile for the first time.

Pregnancy Survival Kit

Friday, July 27, 2007

I made this pregnancy survival kit for a friend who recently found out she was pregnant with her third child. The kit included a mini fan, tums, tylenol, toilet paper, kleenex, chapstick and some m&m's. I have really been into making these covered cans lately. I will have two more to upload tomorrow.

Shoe Fund Can

Tuesday, July 24, 2007

I made this covered can today. I used a baby formula can and wrapped paper around it, added some ribbon, title, and flowers and Viola!. I am going to use it to put spare change so I titled it my shoe fund can. Hmm, How much moola do you think I can get in there (I did choose the tallest can I had)?

Why I never stamp

Sunday, July 22, 2007

This is why I don't stamp as much as I would like to:

This is my kitchen table after a couple hours of stamping. I just made a few cards and the time it took me to drag this stuff out and put it back up I could have made a few more cards. And then I end up going back to my bedroom about 18 times to get something else I forgot. It is so frustrating.

New Rubber

I got this new set (Year After Year) a couple of weeks ago and just last night finally got inspired to use it.
I made this pumpkin card because I wanted to use this ribbon that I had gotten at Target. I have a slight ribbon hoarding problem so the fact that I actually used the ribbon is amazing.

Then I made this birthday card. I had this small strip of paper that I almost threw away but again I hoard paper as well and could not bring myself to get rid of it. Good thing because it fit perfectly on this card and another one down below. Kinda gives the effect of a piece of ribbon.

This set is perfect for making 3x3 gift cards. I hope to make up a set of them so I can have them handy and also have enough so I can sell packages of them. I guess I better get stamping if that is going to get accomplished.

New In Colors

Saturday, July 21, 2007

We had our demonstrator meeting last Saturday. We had a make n take day. These cards were stamped by me but not my design.
The first card was designed by Julie. It uses the new in color Groovy Guava and the stamp set polka dots and paisley.

This next card was designed by Skye Deweez. It uses the new in color River Rock and the stamp set Baroque Motifs and Happy Everything. She wanted to make a Christmas card using a non-traditional set. We also got to use some new chipboard on this card.

A new blog

Friday, July 20, 2007

So, I have read that I can have more than one blog in my account. I am trying this out because I want to have a blog for my stamping/scrapbooking creations. We shall see.
