more make and takes

Saturday, February 28, 2009

Kaitlyn and I also made this mini album at Archiver's on Saturday. This was a pay make and take but only costs $10 (well worth it). Here are the pictures of mine. I haven't put a title on it yet because I am not sure what I am going to use it for. We used the bind-it-all along with some pre-punched photo sleeves. I bought some extra while there to make some more of these. They were quick and easy.

Project 365 pages

Friday, February 27, 2009

I finally made a decision about how I want to do my Project 365 pages. I did not order the kit from Becky Higgins and I ended up regretting that decision. So I have been searching for a way to create my "pages". I thought about getting the page protectors that have the 6 4x6 slots in them and just putting two journal cards in the bottom slots. I had seen several people who are just doing 2 page layouts in different styles. I thought that was kinda what I wanted to do but I just couldn't figure it out. Then I saw this page on the Two Peas website. I can print 3 1/2 by 5 pics at Wolf Camera for 6 cents so I thought I could even print for fairly cheap.

Here are the first 3 layouts I did. I started taking my pictures on Jan. 1 so my first week just had 3 pictures. However I forgot that when I started doing the pages last night and I did the first 7 pictures on two pages. I had to figure out how to "fix" my mistake.

I decided I am going to do a different strip pattern for each week. I like this layout and am glad I finally figured something out to do so that I can get caught up with it.

Free make and take

Thursday, February 26, 2009

Kaitlyn and I went with Kelley to Archiver's on Saturday and did the make and takes. These two were free. We made a little journal card and a circle Thanks card.

Here are the ones I made.

more baby shower thanks

Wednesday, February 25, 2009

I had two baby showers to attend last Saturday (at the same time). Here are the cards I made for Amy. I cased this card and then made a small 3x3 with some let over pieces as my gift tag.

Supplies used: So Saffron card base, Regal Rose accents, Georgia Peach DSP, Rose 3/4 inch ribbon, Chocolate chip ink, All in the Family stamp set, Scallop punch, 1 3/4 circle punch, SU markers.

Year in Review mini album

Tuesday, February 24, 2009

I created this mini album recently and finally got the front finished the other night. I was going to label the front Year in Review but changed my mind at the last minute to 2008 adventures. It took me a while to find an album with enough pages for each month. I picked out my favorite picture from each month, which was quite a difficult task. Then I found this stamp set on sale and it was perfect for this project.

Supplies Used: Paper from American Crafts, Chipboard numbers from Basic Gray, Autumn Leaves stamp set "dated and noted", SU quirky alphabet, Cameo Coral ink, Night of Navy craft ink, Might of Navy marker, scallop punch, round tab punch, 1 3/4 inch circle punch.

New cousin page

Monday, February 23, 2009

This is a page I made for Kyle's book. It is from May 2007.

I used some random patterned paper, Certainly Celery and So Saffron accents, journal card from CM, CM pistachio letter stickers, square punch and Bashful Blue SU marker.

Baby shower thank you's

Friday, February 20, 2009

I have two baby showers to attend on Saturday. I made a set of thank you cards for one of the girls. I used this card for inspiration.

Supplies used: Pale Plum card base, Perfect Plum and Pretty in Pink accents, Old SU patterned paper, scallop punch, circle punch, Baby stamp from the Tag Time.

And Kaitlyn decided she wanted to make a card too. Here is her version:

HSM page

Friday, February 13, 2009

A few months ago I took the kids to see High School Musical on ice tour. These are the pages I made for Kaitlyn's book for that event. I found this HSM paper and stickers at my LSS and used some red and yellow scraps. I also typed my journaling and printed it in black.

Parade page

Saturday, February 7, 2009

This is my two page layout for this week. These are pictures from the parade in Six Flags this past summer and it is for Kyle's book. I used the Becky Higgins sketch from the February issue of Creating Keepsakes.

Supplies used: blue paper from HL, random letter stickers, polka dot paper came from a big slab of paper I have had forever, and I typed the journaling.

glamEARized page

Friday, February 6, 2009

I made this two page layout for Kaitlyn's book. I had finished the page a while ago but kept forgetting to print the journaling to make the page complete.

Kaitlyn had been wanting to get her ears pierced so for her 9th birthday she finally got to do it.

I used two different sketches from this blog. I also got that ribbon on some package and recycled it.

Supplies used: SU patterned paper (I forget the name of the pack), Tempting Turquoise paper, chipboard letters, white craft ink, journaling printed on computer, random polka dot ribbon.

GQ boy page

Tuesday, February 3, 2009

This 2-pager is for Kyle's book. These are pictures taken last July at a park (the same ones from yesterday's post). I used a sketch from someone's blog but I can't find the blog I copied it from. I think it was Stamp with Heather (on my blogroll).

Supplies Used: Chocolate Chip and Basic Gray paper, random patterned paper, Soft Sky accent paper, Slice to cut the letters and Chocolate Chip SU marker.

You're Beautiful page

Monday, February 2, 2009

Here is another 2-page spread for Kaitlyn's book. These pictures were taken last July at a park. I was inspired by a layout I saw in Scrapbook Trends for this page. I had bought this scalloped circle but was trying to use it on just one page and it wasn't working out as I wanted it to. Then I saw the page in the book that took the circle and put it in the middle of two pages and added the buttons at the top. Then I knew that was how I wanted to do this page. I think I needed a darker shade of green but since I am trying to use what I have, I had to go with this.

Supplies Used: Wild Wasabi 12x12 paper, random flower paper, brown scalloped circle paper from Archiver's, buttons, prima flowers, brads in various colors from Making Memories, brown letter stickers from Remarks, and Chocolate Chip SU marker.
