Some Christmas gifts

Wednesday, January 20, 2010

Here are some boxes I made for Christmas gifts for my kids teachers. I put chocolate covered pretzels and a Starbucks gift card in each one. I followed the instructions found here on Splitcoast.

I also made this card at Archiver's one morning. It was a free make and take.

Plus I made this pail. It was a $5 make and take at Archiver's. However the line was so long to make it that we just got the supplies and took it home. I made it several days later then put candy in it and used it as part of my bunco gift.

I have had these pictures on my desktop to publish these for a while and am just now getting around to it. Maybe I should have made a resolution to be a better blogger in 2010.

Eclectica Free make and takes

Tuesday, May 5, 2009

Paula and I went to Eclectica on Saturday for their make and takes for NSD (National Scrapbook Day). They had two that you paid for (my post for later in the week, maybe tomorrow) and then these two cards that were free.

CM NSD make and take

Monday, May 4, 2009

I went to a crop last weekend at my Creative Memories consultant's house for NSD. We made a card using her sketch and our free gift (which was a pack of 3x3 squares).

Sorry for the orange background, it was the only paper I had handy here at school to make a background with quick.

Free make and take

Kaitlyn and I went with Kelley to Archiver's on Saturday and did the make and takes. These two were free. We made a little journal card and a circle Thanks card.

Here are the ones I made.

Free Make and Take (2)

Wednesday, November 12, 2008

Archiver's had another free make and take this weekend. Here are the two things I made:

We used a piece of acetate to stamp the tree and then shaded the card with the green ink and a sponge. Simple yet pretty!

And I really like this gift tag. I especially like the glitter red paper we used (not sure if you can see the glitter part real well in the photo but it really adds something extra to the tag). Amy and I think we have the two scallop squares (I have one and she has the next size up) so I hope to make some cute tags at the crop this Friday.

More free cards

Tuesday, May 13, 2008

I received a package in the mail the other day that had a DVD and a card kit. I have a subscription to Creating Keepsakes magazine and this kit was from them. They want you to buy the dvd and subscribe to get a new dvd and card kit each month. I have not watched the dvd yet to decide if I want to keep it but I did make the cards (I get to keep them for free regardless). I really like the cards and they are definitely worth $7 each month to get them however I am really bad at sending the money or remembering to cancel when I don't want to receive things anymore so I will have to give it some more thought.
Here is the cluster of cards and then a close up of each one. They were so quick and I made them all in about 15 minutes.

Free Make and Take

Monday, May 12, 2008

Last weekend for National Scrapbook Day my favorite store, Archiver's, had a free make and take. I took Kaitlyn shopping on Saturday so she was with me when we stopped in. We both made the card (and made sure to use the Mother's Day sentiment stamped on it) and then Kaitlyn made the border. She had so much fun, especially making the border. She is going to start her first scrapbook for the lads to leaders program this summer and I will probably slowly begin taking her to some crops. Here is Kaitlyn with her projects and a close up of the card we both made.

Free Card

Friday, November 23, 2007

I went to Archiver's last weekend just to browse and they had a free make and take card. The woman helping me was not very helpful. She wanted to do it for me. I really wanted to tell her I could do it myself, I am a seasoned stamper. Nevertheless, here it is:
