Thank you cards

I made a set these thank you cards for my friend Jayme who is getting married on the beach in a couple of weeks. I copied the idea from my friend Amy who copied the idea from the Archiver's website. They were very simple to make.

Baby thank you's

I made a set of these cards recently for Sheri. They are similar to these I made before for Jessica except I made a boy version.



Supplies used: Brocade Blue, Sage Shadow and Night of Navy cardstock; SU retired patterned paper; scallop and 1 3/8 circle punches; Night of Navy ink; Very Punny stamp set.


Then I made a set of cards for Jessica. I used several cards for inspiration.



Supplies used: Bordering Blue, Night of Navy and White cardstock; Very Punny and Warmest Regards stamp set; Night of Navy ink; Square and Oval punches.

Monogram teacher cards

I made a set of cards for each of Kaitlyn's teachers (she has two main ones) for the end of the year. I spent all yesterday working on these cards and then even made a little post-it note keychain similar to these, and then the little turkey overslept, missed the bus and didn't go to school. She really didn't have to be there for these last two days anyway but still. So I told her she had to go tomorrow -- mainly to take these gifts I worked so hard on!

I used Chocolate Chip, Taken with Teal and White cardstock, Taken with Teal ink, 1 3/4 inch circle punch, scallop punch, Seeing spots and Antique Upper Alphabet stamp sets and some ribbon I had laying around. These are really simple cards but I hope her teachers enjoy them.

more baby shower thanks

I made a set of these cards for a girl at church. Her shower was Sunday. I had some extra pieces so I also made a gift card instead of a little tag.

Another baby shower thanks

I have another baby shower to attend this afternoon. I made a set of these cards for the mother to be this time. I had this card in my favorites folder at splitcoast. Then the creator of that card had linked this card as her inspiration. There is hardly any stamping, just a lot of use of punches.

I made a set of 12, using 3 different DSP (though from the same pack). Here is the three different styles and then a closer look at one of them.

Sisters album

I made these mini albums for my two sister-in-laws who turned 30 last week. I used the badge covers you can buy at Wal-mart and some scraps to make these. They are both identical.

Mini magazine holder

I made this mini magazine holder yesterday to give to my friend Wendy as a small gift for her upcoming birthday. It holds 6 3x3 notecards. I got the directions for the holder here. With the help of the scor-pal it was really simple. I didn't have time to decorate the holder and the next one I make I will do that.





I used Regal Rose for the holder and white for the notecards. I used the Big Flowers stamp set and some random word set that I have. I used Rose Red, Regal Rose, More Mustard and Old Olive ink to stamp my images.

Homemade box

I saw this tutorial when I was blurfing (that would be blog surfing) the other day. I wanted to try and make one. I think it turned out okay. It is not as straight as I would like and I am not sure why but it still works. It could hold different things but I made this one for recipes. I am giving it to my friend Courtney tonight. She was the July Bunco hostess but I left her gift at home. I also added a binder clip and a post-it keychain with it.

I am behind

This week is teacher appreciation week. We get a list of things to do for the teachers each day. Now this bugs me but I try to still send what I am suggested to each day. Kaitlyn has two teachers that she sees everyday. Monday was stationary or post-its (right up my alley). I had planned to send one of those post-it keychains like I posted the other day but I haven't finished those yet. Tuesday was to send an individual sized snack. So here is what I sent today. I had made these hanging treat boxes a while back so I thought that would be appropriate. I just hope Kaitlyn remembered to take them to school today.



This hangs on a water bottle and in the pocket is a granola bar and one of those flavor drink mixes.

If at first you don't succeed...

Those of you who read my blog often know that I am in love with the new rub-ons from Stampin' Up. I went to Dollar Tree and just wondered around looking for stuff I could use the rub-ons on. I found this picture frame and thought I could spice it up a little. I tried the black rub-ons on the white mat but when I pulled the film off part of the rub-on that I didn't want to come off did.

Here is the mistake:


So I took a piece of Certainly Celery and traced that mat to make a new mat for the frame. Then I used the brown rub-ons and tried again, this time I cut out the part I needed. I usually do that but for some reason didn't the first try. Here is the second attempt, I turned out better than the white anyway.

My Journal

A friend of mine at church, Jane, recently received a gift from a friend of hers. She showed me her gift which was the cutest journal someone had made for her. I took that idea and made 3 journals to be used for part of my bunco prizes last night. They were fairly easy to make but did take several sheets of paper. I put paper on 3 of the pages and used the round tab punch on the inside to make a divider of sorts. I also put a pocket on the middle divider and included a bookmark. I need to find a printable 2008 calendar because I would really like to include that on the inside cover in a similar way. Anyway here they are.

Flower Coaster Box

I made this coaster box using these instructions from splitcoast. These coasters I used are pretty thick. I found them at Dollar Tree, 8 for $1. I of course used my crop-a-dile to punch the holes. I made this box for Wendy who was the bunco hostess last night for the month of March. Then I added some cards I had previously made and a little bag of candy.

Baby cards

I made these thank you cards for a gift for a baby shower for Karlye at church that I am about to go to. I used the sketch from a card I made a while back. You can see those cards here.
I used white as my base and Bashful Blue and Barely Banana cardstock. I stamped the baby from Very Punny, colored in with my markers and used my circle punches to punch it out. Then I used a little alphabet set and made a thank you stamp and stamped that in Black. I used my blue gingham ribbon to tie around the blue piece.
