I had no intention of making this page, I was just going to make a page of all the characters Kyle met at Six Flags this past summer but I found this red Batman paper and I knew I had 4 Batman related pics and the paper fit so well. Have you ever done that, created a page just to use some cute paper or stickers? HA!
This page is for Kyle's book. I found this Batman paper at my LSS and then simply added some Basic Black accent paper and journaled. It was a really quick page to do. This page marked my 29th page complete for this year so far. I hope to get some more pages done during the Superbowl. I have no desire to watch that game.

Fingerpainting page
Friday, January 30, 2009I really liked these pictures so I had to make a page with them. This page is for Kaitlyn's book. It is a pretty simple page. I used some more CM perfect fit paper from the Everyday pack, CM accent paper and some black rub-on letters.

Bartlett Celebration pages
Tuesday, January 27, 2009I use Creative Memories albums for my scrapbooks and they are in the process of doing away with the old pages and moving to true 12x12 pages. Once I get myself caught up I am going to switch to their side loading pages but for now I still have the old style pages along with some of their perfect fit paper (slightly smaller than 12x12). So I am trying to use up all the perfect fit paper that I have.
These pages are of the same event only the first one is a one-pager for Kyle's book and the second is a two-pager for Kaitlyn's book. Both use CM paper and accents.

Christmas at Gran's pages
Thursday, January 22, 2009I am working on getting "caught up" with my kids scrapbooks. I don't scrap chronologically, just whatever strikes my mood at the moment, but I put them in the book in chronological order. I should have Kaitlyn's book finished through the end of 2008 pretty soon. Here are a few pages I did for her this past weekend. The first is of Christmas 06 and the second is of Christmas 07 at my mom's house.
Supplies used: SU Pink Pirouette, polka dot paper from Archiver's (not sure the brand), CM Christmas stickers, SU chipboard letters, Garden Green craft ink, Best Friends alphabet set
Christmas 07
Supplies used: an old SU simply scrappin kit, Not Quite Navy paper, Close to Cocoa paper, Whisper White craft pad, borrowed clear alphabet stamps, white chipboard letter stickers
I am also very into using sketches these days. I printed a whole bunch of them from various places and put them in a notebook for easy access. Both of these were inspired from some sketches from an old (2003) sketch book of Becky Higgins.

Dianne's Cards
Sunday, January 18, 2009I am back from my scrapbooking retreat and I completed 20 pages! Not as many as I had planned to finish but still good. I will be posting them over the next several days.
My friend Dianne made about 35 cards this weekend. I took some pictures and she gave me permission to post them here. They all turned out really nice. Here are just a few:
She even made matching envelopes!
Way to go Dianne!

Halloween 08- Kyle
Friday, January 16, 2009This page is for Kyle's book. It is of this past Halloween. I am getting very into using sketches to help me with my pages and I am really liking how they turn out and how easy they are to follow (so far). For this page I used SBSC62 from Splitcoaststampers.
Here is my page (not too good of a picture though):
I am going on a "scrapbook retreat" this weekend. Really it is just a friend of mine who has a friend that has a cabin on a lake in Arkansas and some of us girls are going to get away. It just so happens that we all scrapbook so guess what we will be doing all weekend. I am so excited I can hardly stand to be at work today. I have laid out about 32 pages ready to be scrapped so hopefully I will have lots to show over the next few weeks of pages that I got finished. My goal is to be finished with 2008 by Memorial day weekend. We shall see!

favorite photos page
Saturday, January 3, 2009I have set myself a goal of doing 2 pages per week this year. Well really I knew I wanted some kind of scrapbook goal and my CM (and good friend) consultant Amy put out a challenge to her customers to do 2 pages per week. So my goal was set! I made my first two pages in the last couple of days and it is one of my favorite layouts I have done in a while. I totally sraplifted the layout from the Jan 08 issue of Scrapbooking Trends (I love those books). I copied pretty much everything, even down to the color scheme and patterned paper (or what I had that matched closely).
