I made this gift card holder at the last minute. I got the inspiration from this post: Present gift card holder.

Lichterman page
Tuesday, November 23, 2010Here is a two-page layout I did for Kaitlyn's book of us going to Lichterman Nature Center last summer. I bought this cute bug paper just to use on these pictures and then forgot to order the pictures (when I ordered pics for that time period). So I printed the pictures out at home (which I rarely do) and used another sketch from my Allison Davis sketch book.

First season of basketball
Thursday, November 18, 2010This is another two-page layout for Kyle's sports book. It is from last season basketball. I had a hard time at first with this page because I was trying to use patterned paper as my background. Once I switched to the orange the page came together very easily.
I used this page as inspiration instead of a sketch this time.

Darth Vader page
Wednesday, November 17, 2010Here is another two-page layout I created this past weekend. This is for Kyle's book of Halloween last year. Only I am short one zero so I have to find one of those to put on the page.

Been a while
Tuesday, November 16, 2010It had been a while since I have created any pages. I did a few in May but they were just picture on a page kind of page and nothing really special. My husband got a new job so I was finally able to go to a crop on Friday night. Then I took my stuff out to my brother-in-laws house and kept on creating. I ended up with 13 pages from this weekend. I had recently purchased these sketch books by Allison Davis. Here is the link to those. I bought volumes 3 and 4 and I want to get the others. They are just really working for me (and Kelley I might add) right now.
So here is a two-page layout I made this weekend. This will go in Kyle's sports album.

Jonas Bros. concert pages
Wednesday, March 17, 2010We went to the Jonas Brothers concert in Nashville back in August and I took lots of pics. Here are 4 of the pages from that event for Kaitlyn's book.
I used this page for my inspiration from August 2007 issue of Creating Keepsakes. I really liked how the journaling fit in the circles on those squares.
I had used this layout for the page below before on a snow page from last year but I like the simplicity of it, especially on a page that doesn't need a lot of journaling.
The inspiration comes from this page from Scrapbooks, Etc.

Photo shoot page
Wednesday, March 10, 2010I took my kids to the park on an early spring day in March last year and last minute grabbed my camera and changed their shirts real fast so I could try and take some posed pictures of them. I have tried to scrap these pictures for about 10 months now and every time I get them out and try to pick out paper and a layout it just doesn't work for me. I finally did this page for Kaitlyn's book with the pictures of her. I really like how the page turned out.
I used this page from Simple Scrapbooks magazine for inspiration.
And here is what I came up with:
I did turn mine sideways from the layout of the original. This is one page down for March. I have 6 others that I have started but they need several things down to them before they can be called complete. Hopefully I can get that done this weekend.

big backyard page 2
Monday, March 1, 2010I made this page for Kyle's book of our Big Backyard outing. I had a lot of pictures that I wanted to include on this layout and couldn't really crop them down a whole lot. I kinda wish I had put the word backyard on the right side and centered the word big a little more on the brown part but decided to just leave it because it was fine.
I used this page from Creating Keepsakes, August 2009 as inspiration.

big backyard page 1
Friday, February 26, 2010We got this really cool new exhibit at the Memphis Botanic Gardens this past summer. It is a great place to take lots of photos.
This page is for Kaitlyn's book of our Big Backyard outing. I was at my BIL's house so I had to create the arrow myself since I didn't have a template. So don't look too closely at it because I am not real thrilled with the way it turned out. But I am very happy with the way the page as a whole turned out so I guess it evened out.
I used this page as inspiration that Lisa Bearnson did from Creating Keepsakes, January 2009. She used a Becky Higgins sketch as her inspiration.

party page
Monday, February 22, 2010The other day I finally got my scrapbook mojo back! I made 17 pages in one day! We were out at my BIL's house and the boys were watching the never-ending Daytona 500. I have not made any pages since September. I made this two page spread of Kaitlyn's recent 10 yr. old birthday party.

The left side of this spread was inspired by this page from Creating Keepsakes, July 2009.

Project Life
Wednesday, January 20, 2010I participated in Project 365 for 2009 so naturally I wanted to continue and got the kit for 2010 called Project Life. So far I have taken a picture everyday but I am not sure that will continue. I have completed the first two weeks with the kit though and I am really happy with the way it is turning out.

Some Christmas gifts
Here are some boxes I made for Christmas gifts for my kids teachers. I put chocolate covered pretzels and a Starbucks gift card in each one. I followed the instructions found here on Splitcoast.
I also made this card at Archiver's one morning. It was a free make and take.
Plus I made this pail. It was a $5 make and take at Archiver's. However the line was so long to make it that we just got the supplies and took it home. I made it several days later then put candy in it and used it as part of my bunco gift.
I have had these pictures on my desktop to publish these for a while and am just now getting around to it. Maybe I should have made a resolution to be a better blogger in 2010.
