Here is my interpretation of Beate's Weekend Sketch challenge. My blue piece is a little bigger than it should be I think but I still like this card.
Supplies used: Cupcake stamp set, White, Tempting Turquoise, and Pixie Pink cardstock, pink brads, aquapainter. I watercolored the cupcake image using the aquapainter and ink pads.

Silver swirl
Tuesday, March 25, 2008I love the hardware pieces but I usually have a hard time figuring out how to use them on my projects. Here are two cards I made using the swirly pieces. This is a retired set (Little Layers) but could easily be adjusted to use a current set.

Finally here are some cards
Monday, March 24, 2008I did not get to stamp yesterday, we were so busy with other fun stuff. But I did manage to take some pictures of some cards I had previously made to show.
This was the first stamp set I ever bought, Button Bear. I used it here to make a monochramatic card using Glorious Green ink and cardstock.
And here is a card using A Tree for All Seasons and Wonderful Words stamp sets.

Somebody stop me
Thursday, March 20, 2008Or I will put a rub-on on everything. I bought these little pink buckets in the dollar spot at Target and used the white Stampin' Up rub-ons this time. The rub-ons didn't go on quite as smoothly as the glass and candles but it still worked.

Rub it on
Wednesday, March 19, 2008I received a stamp order for my friend Kelley on Monday. I had ordered a couple of things with it but nothing too exciting (no stamp sets). However I did get a set of the rub-ons that were part of the sale-a-bration promotion. Below you will see the project that I made but Oh My Word! why did I not get any of those sooner. They are fantastic!! They are way better than any other rub-ons I have used. I had seen several people use them on some objects (as opposed to paper) and I loved the idea. So while at Dollar Tree today I picked up a couple of candles and candle holders. Here is how they turned out. (the picture is not real good of the glass, just imagine that it is better IRL)
I tried to get a close up of one of the candle holders, not sure if it helped though.
And here are the candles:

Ask Away
Monday, March 17, 2008Sorry I haven't posted any projects in a while. Last week was the end of a nine weeks for me at school and I am always frantically grading and trying to get things finished. I did not stamp at all last week, I know it is too terrible to go for one day without stamping much less one week but it happens. Well this week is spring break and I am hostessing bunco in April so I have lots of things that need to get stamped so I should have several things to upload in the future. In the meantime I thought it would be fun for you to ask any questions you want of me. I will answer these in another post this week so ask away.

WSC #38
Monday, March 10, 2008Here is my attempt at Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. I had printed the sketch at work Friday and then when we got to leave early due to the incoming snow I forgot to pick up the copy. So last night when I was working on this my husband was on the computer so I was going from memory. The middle part doesn't exactly look like the sketch but it works I guess. I made this pretty quickly and there are no embellishments so needless to say it is not my favorite card but again it works.
Supplies used: For a Friend stamp set, Tempting Turquoise and Chocolate Chip cardstock, and non-SU patterned paper.

Flower Coaster Box
Friday, March 7, 2008I made this coaster box using these instructions from splitcoast. These coasters I used are pretty thick. I found them at Dollar Tree, 8 for $1. I of course used my crop-a-dile to punch the holes. I made this box for Wendy who was the bunco hostess last night for the month of March. Then I added some cards I had previously made and a little bag of candy.
Front view:
Top view (I covered both sides of the coaster with different patterned paper to make it a little more attractive):
Candy bag:
And finally here is the box with all the stuff in it:

Hot Air Balloon page
Wednesday, March 5, 2008In September we went to a sort of fair in town and rode in a hot air balloon. Now the balloon was tethered to the ground but still fun. I wanted to make the scrapbook really neat and looked everywhere for hot air balloon stuff and of course could not find it. A friend of mine went with me and she created her own balloon on her scrapbook pages so I copied her. Only she won't put anything 3-dimensional on her page so she just drew her ropes and I decided to add string to my balloon. Anyway here are the pages.

Some scrapbook pages
Monday, March 3, 2008I always forget to post some of my scrapbook pages on here. Yesterday I was too busy playing the American Idol game at my BIL's that I did not stamp anything. These are some pages that I created a while back at a crop.
"Look Mom, I built a road"
Wonderous Winter
Easter Morning
