Here are a couple more simple cards I made the other night. 
Here is a close up of the one on the right. I used my new Scor-pal (really every crafter should have one of these) to make some decorative scor lines, I hope you can see them in the picture. Be sure you will see many more cards like this because I am lovin' this look. 
And I am realizing looking at these last few cards that my stamp pads desperately need to be re-inked. Off to do that now.
I have been really into making these simple cards lately. I am making a goal to use up a lot of my stash of stuff. For starters I am trying to use the tons of ribbon that I have. It is so pretty and I have a hard time actually using but I finally decided it was not doing anybody any good sitting on my shelf.
Here are some simple 3x3 cards I made using some of the new clear stamps my mom got me, the Fancy Flexible Phrases set from SU and some ribbon. 
My SIL got me these stamps by Hero Arts for Christmas so I made some real simple cards with them and my ribbon (that I hoard).

I joined this new group called sisterhood of the blogging stampers. It is basically 20 people (whose blogs will be linked on the right side of my blog in the next few days) who have stamp related blogs, will link each other and visit and comment on each other's blogs. So I am supposed to tell a little about myself for them.
I am 30 years, married for almost 9 years, and I have an 8 yr. old daughter and 4 yr. old son. I teach high school Geometry. I started scrapbooking in June of 2001 and stamping in March of 2003. I became a SU demo in April 2005. My daughter is finally old enough to stamp with me and I love that except that means she wants to use all my stuff. I am a math person so my stamping tends to be very symmetric. I am a ribbon and brad hoarder.
Here is one last ornament I made on Christmas Eve. I used some left over laminating stuff from something I laminated at school. I stamped my image using staz-on and colored in with sharpies. Then I rolled it up and stuck down in the clear ornament and then poured some silver glitter inside. 
I received several new toys from my mom for Christmas. Here is a pic of all of them. I can't wait to organize my stuff and play with them.
Included is a Scor-pal (I am most excited about this), 3 sets of clear stamps, some organizing stuff and a subscription to Creating Keepsakes. Yay for me!
I could not be prouder. A friend of mine gave Kaitlyn some scrapping stuff for her birthday. Kaitlyn had a little gift box so she decided to cover it. She was so proud of herself, she gave it to my mom for Christmas. 
I bought a package of Dominoes at the Dollar General and stamped an image on them with staz-on. Then I used sharpies to color in the santas. I attached a ribbon to the back and put a small strip of paper on to cover it on the back. 
Kaitlyn has two teachers this year so I made them some monogram notecards, a post-it holder with matching pen and an ornament. Instead of using a bag to put it in I covered a formula can with paper. Then I punched a hole in the sides using my crop-a-dile (see yesterday's post) and tied a ribbon on it with a scalloped ornament on the side. Then I stuffed some tissue paper in them just like a bag. I am happy with the way they turned out except for the fact that I ran out ribbon for the second one so the handle is kinda short. 
I do not have a finished product to show you today but I wanted to show you the amazingness of the crop-a-dile. I punched a hole today in this formula can (you will see why tomorrow) and I punched a hole in this thin piece of wood. You can seriously punch though almost anything. 
I have wanted to make some of these peppermint patty things I saw a while ago on Sharon Roger's blog so when I ordered this scallop punch I got a package of peppermint patties even before my punch arrived so that I would be ready to go. Kaitlyn needed some stocking stuffers to take to her class so I got some Christmas pencils but also made these for her to take. These are simple with just one stamp in Glorious Green and then layered on a scallop made with the scallop punch. It takes two and kinda makes a peppermint sandwich. But they were cute and easy enough that I made 18 in less than 30 minutes. 
I made these cute (and inexpensive) altered binder clips. All I did was use the 2.5 inch binder clips from Office Depot and cut a strip of paper to cover the bottom. Then I embellished them and tied a ribbon around the top. 
"Now what on earth on you going to use these for?" you ask. I have seen several people use them as place cards but I am going to give them to use as picture holders, like this.
I saw a set of blocks on a blog I visit often called StampinMama. I wanted to try these for myself so I went to Hobby Lobby and got some 2 inch blocks. I sanded them down and painted them red. Then I cut squares of paper and used modge podge to adhere the paper to the blocks. I then used some chipboard letters that I had painted red and glue dotted those to the blocks once they dried. I am pretty pleased with how it looks. Now I just have to go back and get some more blocks to try this again.

I made these post-it holders (again inspired by Angie Juda's blog). I used some coasters I had bought at Dollar Tree. I covered the front with paper, attached the post-it notes with sticky strip, then added the binder clip. I had previously covered the binder clip with paper and tied a ribbon on it. 
These were very easy. Kaitlyn has two teachers this year and this will be part of their gift.
I had several strips of paper left over from making those paper trees so I decided to make these glass ball ornaments with my left overs that I had seen several places. All I did was roll up the strips of paper and drop them down into the ball. This did take more strips that I had anticipated and it still is not as full as I would have liked but it works. I found these glass ball ornaments in a package of 3 at dollar tree. So that makes this a cute yet inexpensive project. 
My bunco girls recently did something really sweet for me as a group. So as a thank you to them I made each of them a set of monogram cards. There were 6 cards in each set and they were sized about 3 and a half by 5. These cards were inspired by a lady named Angie Juda.
I used the scallop punch that I have recently become addicted to. They were real simple to make. I made 66 cards in one afternoon in no time at all. 
I got this new scallop punch the other day and I love it. I cannot believe I waited so long so get it. I have punched so many scallops out. I made these simple paper ornaments. I punched 6 scallops out, folded them in half, and adhered them together. I think they will also make the cutest little package toppers.
